Nếu là 1 fan trung thành của thể loại game nhập vai hành động thì đừng nên bỏ qua Dungeon Siege 2, tựa game đã gây được nhiều tiếng vang ngay từ khi vừa ra mắt. So với Blizzard thì Gas Powered Games vẫn chưa thể xứng tầm nhưng điều gì đã giúp cho Dungeon Siege 2 chẳng hề kém cạnh “người anh cả” Diablo? Câu trả lời nằm ở khả năng sáng tạo của đội ngũ phát triển chịu trách nhiệm thực hiện tựa game này. Rõ ràng, gameplay với nhiều yếu tố đột phá đã góp phần vào sự “nổi dậy” của Dungeon Siege 2.
Đưa người chơi trở lại vùng đất Aranna thần thoại với mốc thời gian diễn ra sau phần 1 hơn 2 thế kỷ, Dungeon Siege 2 mang đến cho bạn cơ hội trở thành người anh hùng dân tộc với trọng trách tiêu diệt tên độc tài Valdis, kẻ đang âm mưu thống trị toàn vương quốc. Nói về Valdis, tên “trùm” cuối này có sức mạnh cực kì đáng sợ dưới sự trợ sức của thế lực bóng đêm.
Về lối chơi, gameplay của Dungeon Siege 2 đã thật sự trở nên hoàn hảo. Gas Powered Games rõ ràng đã tiếp thu nghiêm túc ý kiến của game thủ sau phần 1. Vì thế, những khiếm khuyết trước kia đã được loại bỏ hoàn toàn. Đến với Dungeon Siege 2, hệ thống nhiệm vụ đã được điều chỉnh hợp lí hơn với sự liền mạch trong nội dung câu chuyện. Bên cạnh đó, nhà phát triển cũng không quên thay đổi những yếu tố quan trọng khác như: hệ thống vật phẩm, bản đồ,….để mang đến sự mới mẻ cho tựa game này. Ngoài ra, các đòn đánh combo, 1 đặc trưng trong Dungeon Siege 2 cũng được nâng cấp theo hướng hiện đại và phù hợp hơn với thị hiếu người chơi. Không những vậy, hệ thống phát triển kỹ năng được phát triển chuyên sâu nhằm thỏa mãn sở thích cá nhân của từng game thủ.
Một điểm khá hấp dẫn trong Dungeon Siege 2 là người chơi không phải chiến đấu 1 mình. Đồ họa của Dungeon Siege 2 khá xuất sắc. Nổi bật nhất vẫn là hiệu ứng skill đẹp mắt với màu sắc ấn tượng. Bên cạnh đó, hệ thống quái vật được thiết kế chi tiết cũng giúp cho Dungeon Siege 2 trở nên hoành tráng hơn. Ngoài ra, môi trường game với cảnh quan đa dạng cũng là 1 điểm cộng cho Dungeon Siege 2.
